Mrs. Cubbisons stuffing review (and a giveaway)

This upcoming Thanksgiving will be the first Thanksgiving that I will be doing; I’m taking over the mantle. It’s time to step into the world of hosting a holiday; we normally would rotate families my parent’s one year and my husband’s Aunt the next.

Well last year right before Thanksgiving my husband’s Aunt passed away and that threw a monkey wrench into plans, my in-laws had just planned to eat out and we went to my parent’s for dinner. Well when all the restaurants they had planned to go to turned up closed they settled for Thanksgiving dinner at McDonalds, that didn’t sit well with my husband and he volunteered us for hosting duties, he really felt bad about it and it really bothered him so I agreed and now I have to cook things I’ve never cooked before!

One of those food items is stuffing, I’ve eaten plenty of it but it’s something I normally don’t include into our regular dinner rotation. This review couldn’t have come at a better time because we didn’t want to do the traditional stuffing in a box brand; we wanted to have something better. What am I talking about? Mrs. Cubbison’s stuffing , this is some seriously good stuffing. I’ve done a trial run of making things to get it right, so we sat in Sunday waiting for Hurricane Sandy to hit us and we had dinner that included Mrs. Cubbison’s Corn Bread Stuffing.

I’m a sucker for corn bread, I love it and I really never met a corn bread I didn’t like. I can’t wait to make this again for Thanksgiving, this stuffing is going to be a hit because it’s so good it’s seasoned perfectly and isn’t dry. There is nothing worse than dry stuffing! And something other than the taste that I liked was the fact it took me less than 10 minutes of prep time and only took me 10 minutes to cook. Quick and easy and bursting with flavor, what more could I want?
Today (Monday) while Sandy was bearing down on us I made Classic Stuffing; this stuffing is made with traditional stuffing bread but like the cornbread flavored perfectly and moist. When we go to the store to pick up what we need for our feast right at the top of my list is Mrs. Cubbison’s Cornbread Stuffing, thankfully many store’s around here carry their products and as soon as this Frankenstorm leaves us and life returns to normal we’ll be headed out to pick up some more. If you want a tasty, easy to make, moist and flavorful stuffing this Thanksgiving head out and pick up Mrs. Cubbison’s stuffing it’s better than all the rest. Sweet potato casserole is a tradition at our table.

We have a very traditional dinner: turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, corn, and biscuits. Our only "tradition" of sorts is his 'n' her cranberry sauce. My husband will only eat fresh-made cranberry sauce. I prefer the cranberry jelly from a can ("Just like the kind mom always opened!") So we each have our own sauces each year.
