Sugar Cookies are great with Lehigh Valley Dairy farms milk #Recipe

Are you a cookie lover? Well I sure am, and for me nothing is better than cookies and a tall glass of cold milk. What a perfect treat! For more than 70 years, families have started a brand new day with delicious, nutritious Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms milks, creams, and juices.

Recently while we were in the house, stuck in due to hurricane Sandy I figured I would make one of my favorite cookie recipes with my little girl. So my daughter and I spent that time baking some yummy Sugar cookies for my friends and family.

I would love to share this great Sugar Cookie recipe with you all. These cookies are crunchy and great for dunking in  milk (they remind me of nilla wafers.. a great vanilla and sugar taste).

Crunchy Sugar Cookies

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 teaspoons of milk
2 teaspoons of vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
Coarse sugar to top cookies

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonful’s of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets. Sprinkle coarse sugar on the top of cookies before baking.
  3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.
We were very fortunate to be sent a trio of fun fall cookie cutters that we used to make these sugar cookie  a squirrel, leaf, and acorn perfect for fall.  The cookies were loved! Along with being cute they were delicious. Sweet and crunchy just great for a cool glass of milk.  This cookie goes great with Lehigh valley Dairy farms milk, a milk my family has enjoyed for many years. Now that the milk is in a new pure protect bottle, the milk is just that much better.  So if you are looking for a great milk to go with these cookies make sure to pick up some Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms milk, it will be perfect for this or any other cookie.
