Our Take:

I have always been a big Barbie fan, I had quite the collection when I was a little girl and my daughter is no different. I just love that we have a doll that we both love, it is such a nice thing to have dolls of my past back into my life again. Today’s Barbie’s are so much more interesting than some of my more plain Barbie’s were. I love the costumes and the accessories. It is great that Barbie has so many DVD’s to go along with the release of some of the new dolls.

I cannot believe this is the 25th dvd, my daughter has enjoyed the Barbie dvd’s for many years, and when she heard that she would be able to review the newest DVD Barbie: In the Pink Shoes, she was so happy she jumped up and down! My daughter loves to dance, and takes ballet at school, so to have a Barbie doll line and dvd that goes along with ballet, she related more with the dolls and the DVD she could not wait to watch the DVD and play with the dolls.

So as soon as the movie arrived we had a bit of a girls movie night. My daughter and I hung out together popped some popcorn got out some candy and got comfy on the couch and got ready for the movie. This was a very cute movie, I liked the dancing  and the beautiful outfits. I would love one of those in real life that is for sure. Barbie always has the nicest things, in doll and cartoon form. I like the message that this movie tells, to reach for your dreams. It is a great message.  My daughter loved the movie! She is eight years old and this was a great movie for girls her age. As soon as the movie was over she wanted to watch it again, I gave it and we watched it again.

I would recommend this movie for girls young and old. If you are a Barbie fan you will love Barbie: In the Pink Shoes. The dolls are amazing as well so colorful, and nicely dressed. My daughter especially loved that the dress on Kristyn Farraday (Barbie) transformed and switched the dress over and over again, she was have such fun with the dolls. The Ken was handsome, and of course he makes the perfect prince.

With Easter right around the corner the dolls would also fit nicely in an Easter basket and this DVD would make a great basket stuffer for that special little girl on your list this year.  Your little girl with love the dvd and these unique dolls, I am sure they will both be a big hit!
