I left work early on May 15th
to begin my adventure, I would be flying Air Tran for the first time
and I was eager to see how different they are compared to South West
whom we normally fly with. It was odd being on a plane that had 2
seats on the left side of the plane and 3 on the right.....different
to say the least! The flight was thankfully uneventful and we landed
in Orlando earlier than they had anticipated so I was off the Magical
Express to begin my mini vacation. I boarded a bus immediately and
within minutes we were on our way. We stopped at the Art of Animation
first and then we made our way over to Pop where I would be staying
for the next few days. I had thought about possibly upgrading to the
Beach Club but couldn't justify the extra costs just to be able to
walk to the Studio's. Pop is a nice hotel a little small for my
liking room wise but since I was alone space at this point isn't all
that important, but for a family trip it isn't ideal for us and what
we're used to having as far as room.
But Pop does have something I fell in love with.....quite possibly the best cupcake on property! I've eaten a lot of cupcakes in the World and this cupcake from the Pop is by far the best one I've had and that includes the revered Butterfinger cupcake in the Studio's! A simple vanilla cupcake with white icing that has a tie-die look to it is the best cupcake on property hands down! This cupcake made such an impression on me that I had 4 of them and even brought 2 home just so my wife and daughter could try it! Wednesday night was uneventful outside of the fact that it took Magical Express 4 and a half hours to deliver my bags and I'm positive the only reason I finally did get my bags was because I called to complain about it. Never again will I use their bag service if we fly in at night, I will wait at the baggage carousel and get our bags and not have to worry about being stuck without our things for hours, the past 2 times we arrived somewhat later we had bag issues there will not be a third time.
