Family orientated devices and apps

Sometimes it can be a little difficult to keep everyone in the family entertained, especially on those rainy days. However, these days there are so many mobile phones or mobile devices to keep away the boredom and get you and the family together. Tablets are brilliant mobile devices for all the family. These are not as personal as a mobile phone, but they do offer just as much as your everyday smartphone. The best tablets or mobile devices are the iPad or iPad Mini because they offer so much; things like parental control options, a large surface screen (especially the iPad) and Internet access in the home or on the go are what make it appealing.

The 9.7” screen on the iPad allows families to watch the latest films in high quality, and record those all-important family events with the dual camera which takes brilliant photos and videos. Other mobile devices that you may want to look at are the Kindle Fire HD, Samsung Galaxy note and Microsoft Surface. Mobile phones or Smartphones are perfect for the family as well. The iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4 are two of the most family friendly phones out there. The iPhone 5 features a dual camera, brilliant for taking pictures and recording family moments, as well as FaceTime HD which allows you to see your family face to face wherever you are, just like a webcam.

The Galaxy S4 has brilliant features too. The 5-inch 1080p Full HD super AMOLED display is great for watching films on the sofa with the family, whilst the Group Play feature allows you to share recent pictures and videos to keep everybody in the loop. The most popular apps available for families with mobile phones or mobile devices are gaming  apps, because they get everyone involved. A brilliant app available for most platforms is the Draw Something app. Users can play with other people with similar devices; families can compete against each other whilst sat in the same room as they try to guess what the other team has drawn. The app is also brilliant for nurturing your child’s drawing skills.

Angry Birds has been a popular app for a while for people of all ages. Angry Birds Friends (available on most platforms too) allows you to participate in tournaments against Facebook friends, or phone/tablet contacts; all the family can play against one another.
