Green with Food Envy? Try Out the Applebee's Solution! #Giveaway

Are you looking for some great new food to try? Are you Green with Food Envy? Try Out the Applebee's Solution! Applebee's has a great selection of food, that the whole family will love!

To those that hunger for real... Applebee's is the favorite neighborhood restaurant where you can come as you are to connect with those important in your life, over food and beverage you love every day.
APPLEBEE’S. GOOD FOOD. GOOD PEOPLE.  Applebee’s started with the same philosophy we follow today – focused on serving good food to good people. Today, what was once a popular neighborhood restaurant has grown to become a popular restaurant in neighborhoods all across North America – with almost 2,000 locations and counting.

“Food Envy” & Millennials

• 60 percent of Millennials (ages 18-29) admit to experiencing “Food Envy.”
• More than half of Millennials order last at a restaurant so they can see what others order first.
• Millennial women have it the worst, with 70 percent reporting they experience “Food Envy” on a regular basis.

Applebee’s Take Two menu options include Applebee’s favorites and selections from the new Fresh Flavors of Summer menu introduced in May, including:

• The Green Goddess Wedge Salad pays homage to the retro Green Goddess dressing. This creamy avocado and basil based dressing is ladled over a crisp wedge of iceberg lettuce topped with bacon, honey-glazed pecans, bleu cheese and parsley.

• The Garlic Rosemary Chicken Pasta is grilled chicken glazed with garlic, thyme and rosemary, paired with grilled asparagus, artichokes, portabello mushrooms and roasted tomatoes and served over a bowl of fettuccine and lightly tossed in bruschetta with toasted garlic bread.

• The Blackened Sirloin is a 4oz. sirloin rubbed with blackened seasonings and basted with lime butter served on a bed of crispy red potatoes tossed in a tomato pesto sauce. A side of steamed red potatoes adds color and flavor to this new summertime favorite.

• The Lemon Shrimp Fettuccine features citrus notes perfect for summer. Seared plump shrimp are complimented with tomatoes, onions, fresh spinach and basil and served over fettuccine noodles lightly tossed in a roasted garlic cream sauce and topped with artichokes, lemon zest and Parmesan cheese blend.

• The Seasonal Berry and Spinach Salad is so fresh and flavorful, it can go with almost any pairing! Fresh blueberries, sliced ripe strawberries and vibrant spinach are tossed in our strawberry vinaigrette then topped with grilled chicken breast, bleu cheese crumbles and honeyglazed pecans.

So do you have food envy? Well we sure did, and Applebee's was our solution! My family and I were very fortunate to be able to check out some great items:

Grilled Chicken Wonton tacos - Zesty grilled chicken stuffed in crispy wonton shells and topped with crunchy slaw and cilantro.
This was a great starter, a nice and warm treat. The chicken had a great sauce that went wonderfully with the crunchy cold slaw.  The lime just made the dish, giving it the right amount of tang. There were 4 nice sized tacos, that my family quickly devoured.

Cowboy Burger - A blend of tastes worth heading West for. Topped with crispy onion strings, melted white cheddar cheese and Applewood smoked bacon. Served on a toasted bun with BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles.

Now this is one of our classic favorites, a go to burger for my husband. This is a burger that has all the fixins you could ever want on a burger, a smokey bbq sauce, a great blend of cheese and of course great tasting meat. My husband enjoyed this burger, and will continue to get it again and again (yes he loved it that much).

My daughter enjoyed the sliders children's meal, the meal was a good size for a kids meal, and my daughter enjoyed it very much. If you have a child that is a picky eater, Applebee's has a lot for kids to choose from, so even the pickiest of eaters will find something they will love!
After seeing a few Applebee's commercials for the new Take Two menu options, my food envy was off the charts! First I started off with a cool, kiwi lemonade, a perfect summer drink. Then I had to try one of the new food choices, I went with the Blackened Sirloin, and a side of Garlic Rosemary Chicken Pasta. The pasta was plentiful, and the steak was cooked to perfection, and the little potatoes that surrounded the steak were so very flavorful. I loved this paring, it was very good.

Of course we had to try out a dessert (how could we not?)

Apple Chimicheesecake - Creamy cheesecake and caramel apples wrapped in a tortilla shell and lightly fried. We roll it in cinnamon sugar and place it on a bed of roasted apples. Served with ice cream and topped with caramel sauce.

Even though we were very full from our meal, we had to make room for this sweet treat. Oh my goodness, a tortilla stuffed with cheesecake and apples? Then rolled in cinnamon sugar, and topped with caramel? Doesn’t this sound amazing?  Well it tastes just as amazing as it sounds.  The filling had a great creamy consistently with just the right amount of apples. My husband being a huge cinnamon fan, just loved the cinnamon sugar topping, saying it complemented the dessert very well.
So are you suffering from food envy? Stop by your local Applebee's they have the solution you need, mouthwatering food a great selection at great prices.

The generous folks at Applebee's are giving one of Susan’s Disney Family readers a chance to win a $50.00 Applebee's gift certificate. Would you like to win?
