Celebrate National Pizza Month With Classico Elevate Pizza Night #Giveaway

Did you know that October is National Pizza Month?  Well I have to admit I never knew this in the past but it is a cool idea, and I wanted to make something yummy to celebrate national pizza month this year and Elevate Pizza Night.  Classico pizza sauce makes making your pizza day easy and delicious.

We were sent three different Classico sauces:
  • CLASSICO Traditional Pizza Sauce
  • CLASSICO Fire Roasted Pizza Sauce
  • CLASSICO Creamy White Pizza Sauce (not available yet this will be in stores Spring 2014)
I was very fortunate to be able to try this new sauce, CLASSICO Creamy White Pizza Sauce. I am a very busy working mom, so easy and delicious dinner options are a must for me. We just love pizza and for us pizza is a quick and affordable meal idea. I made a wild concoction pizza the other night, with the new  CLASSICO Creamy White Pizza Sauce. Classico Creamy White Pizza Sauce, Mac and Cheese steakhouse pizza.  This recipe is so very easy to make and it only takes about a half hour from beginning to end. I was able to get home from work, get dinner ready help my daughter with her homework, and have everything done by the time my husband got home from work.

We were able to have this delicious dinner as a family. My husband complemented on the sauce. He asked me if I “doctored” (adding more spices etc. to make it taste better) the sauce because it did not taste like bottled sauce. I told him I did not add a thing to the sauce itself, he was impressed and said we should get this sauce again. I love that you can add just about anything to a pizza, and it will be pretty good, well how can you beat sauce and cheese, it is just delicious, added toppings are just a bonus!

This pizza was a hit! It may seem like an odd combination but it all works together, the macaroni, the steak sauce, the white pizza sauce. My brother remarked about tasty the pizza is, he said it was a like a pasta meal with the garlic bread all wrapped up into a great pizza. He also remarked, that I may “be on to something here…” basically saying that I should make this pizza again.

My family loved Classico, and we will be purchasing this pizza sauce in the future. So if you are looking for a sauce to top your favorite pizza for National Pizza Month this October, make sure to check out the great sauces and recipes on the Classico site.

Well if I had the white sauce (by the way I've thickened up their Classico Roasted Garlic Alfredo sauce with some cornstarch to actually make white sauce for my pizza's) I would top with Artichoke hearts, chopped up and spread around, Chicken, Mushrooms, and Roasted chopped garlic, nice white pepper, then of course top with Mozzarella Cheese. The other sauces ham, sweet Italian sausage, ground beef, mushrooms, garlic, bell peppers, onions, Parmesan and Mozzarella Cheeses. lfhpueblo@msn.com

My favorite pizza toppings are tender slices of steak, fresh onions, fresh green peppers and fresh mushrooms with provolone and American cheeses on a cheesy provolone crust.
