Check out Denny's Hobbit inspired menu! #Giveaway

Are you looking for a great place to get a delicious meal for your family? Well we have been fans of Denny’s for many years, quick affordable meals that are delicious.
Did you know that Denny’s now has a new line of menu items inspired by the upcoming Hobbit movie? Here is a little more information about Denny’s and the great new Hobbit menu items that are now available for a limited time:

The limited time menu features the Build Your Own Hobbit Slam® which has received a film-inspired makeover with three delicious new additions, including Honey Cake French Toast, Sweet Potato Pecan Pancakes and a Hearty Breakfast Sausage.

If hunger strikes at elevenses, Denny’s offers plenty of options like the new Bilbo’s Breakfast Feast or the hearty Hobbit Hole Breakfast, guaranteed to leave even the hungriest of Hobbits satisfied. Continue the tasty adventure with the spicy new Smaug’s Fire Burger or Denny’s twist on a holiday favorite with the Dwarves’ Turkey and Dressing Dinner.

For a great start or finish to any meal try the new Bard’s Pumpkin Pie Milk Shake or Elven Woodland Pies in pumpkin and pecan flavors, for just $2 a slice from Denny’s 2,4,6,8 Value Menu®. Festive favorites such as Radagast’s Red Velvet Pancake Puppies offer a true taste of the holidays, while a freshly brewed cup of new Bowman’s Brew Pumpkin Coffee orDenny’s Signature Diner Roast in rich vanilla or toasty hazelnut flavors offers the perfect complement to any tasty journey.
“We’re thrilled to bring the taste of Middle-earth back to America’s Diner,” said John Dillon, @DillonJohnW, vice president of marketing for Denny’s. “Last year’s menu attracted both Denny’s guests and fans alike with a combination of movie-inspired elements and traditional holiday flavors. This year we’re elevating the experience with the introduction of adventurous new flavors, exciting exclusive content and once-in-a-lifetime prizes, taking our guests on a truly authentic dining journey.”

Over the past 50 years, Denny's has been bringing on the day with round-the-clock breakfast and casual family dining across America, from freshly cracked eggs to craveable salads and burgers. We are open, all right. We are open every hour of every day and you are welcome here whenever the whim hits you. We are open to good prices, so that everyone can leave satisfied. We’re open to all kinds of food for all kinds of tastes — with new specials all the time. We’re open to your suggestions. We’re open to your feedback. It’s what a great diner does: it makes everyone comfortable whenever it can. It makes the world a nicer place, too. So as the door closes behind you, we hope you feel like it’s still kind of open. Wide open.

My family and I were very fortunate to be able to try out a few of these great new items and some classic favorites. One thing I love about Denny’s is you can get breakfast whenever you want, day or night.  I love having this option, it is nothing worse when you are in the mood for breakfast, and you have just missed the breakfast cut off, so no breakfast for you… But not at Denny’s whenever you want a great meal, of any kind you can have it.

So being in a breakfast mood we started our lunch off with a breakfast like appetizer, we all enjoyed the:

Pancake Puppies® - Our bite-sized round pancakes rolled in a delicious blend of cinnamon and sugar. Served with a side of warm syrup.

This reminded me of a funnel cake of sorts, this was crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. The Pancake Puppies are served with warm maple syrup a great accompaniment that my family loved. This was a great appetizer, a break from the norm, but a great change of pace.  If you would like to try a different version of the Pancake Puppies, they also have a red velvet version… We will defiantly try that next time too.

For our entrees our daughter enjoyed the:

Jr. Cheeseburger - Hand-pressed junior beef patty topped with American cheese. She is on a cheeseburger kick, this seems to be the only thing she will eat anymore when we go out to restaurants… (what happened to my food lover, who would try just about anything?) and she enjoyed her cheeseburger and fries very much. Of course as soon as she saw the “cupcake” cup she just had to have one. These are cool cups that come in three different color styles the look like a cupcake, you can purchase these special cups at an additional charge.

Being fans of spicy food, my husband and I could not resist trying the  new spicy burger, inspired by a character from The Hobbit:

NEW! Smaug's Fire Burger - A hand-pressed beef patty seasoned with our 7-pepper blend. Served on a grilled Cheddar bun with our special X-sauce™, Jalapeño Bottle Caps®, melted Pepper Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onions and pickles.

This burger had a nice spice to it, but the heat was not overwhelming. I loved the special X-sauce, it was kind of like a spicy remoulade sauce to me, it was so very good. My husband enjoyed the burger very much as well, he loved the Jalapeño Bottle Caps, they were crunchy and spicy a great addition to any burger. The next time we visit Denny’s I will be getting this burger again, yes it was that good. And I want to make sure I have this burger again before it is not available anymore.
Well my husband and I had the same entrée, and we enjoyed the same dessert, we could not say no to a pumpkin shake!

NEW! Bard's Pumpkin Pie Milk Shake - We blend pumpkin pie with premium vanilla ice cream to create one incredibly thick, creamy milk shake. Topped with a dollop of whipped cream and caramel. This shake reminded me of a nice slice of pumpkin pie, complete with the whipped cream, you could taste the pumpkin spice, and there were even chunks of crust in the shake, it was divine!

So if you are looking for a great place to go with your family for a great affordable family meal, you are going to love Denny’s. And make sure to check out the Hobbit menu while it is is only around for a limited time.
