Holiday Gift Guide: World Vision Gift Catalog - Prosperity Cinnamon, a wonderful gift #Giveaway

We're now moving closer to that time of year where we give thanks for what we have, some of us are lucky to not be affected by hardships most of us aren't that lucky. But if you're in a position to want to help those who can't help themselves World Vision makes it easy for you to do something for those who need it most. Here is a little more information about World Vision, from the website:
The World Vision Gift Catalog offers more than 250 items that help fight poverty and save lives here in US and around the world. With a financial contribution, donors can select one of the 30+ Handcrafted Gifts that can be shared with a loved one and at the same time help a person in need.

I was very fortunate to be able to check out a great item from this years catalog, the Prosperity Cinnamon:
Help where it's needed most...AND get a gift for yourself or someone you care about! Your gift to where most needed will help address specific, urgent needs that might otherwise go unmet for a child, family, or community. As a memento of this gift, you'll receive this box of cinnamon. Vietnam's renowned sweet cinnamon is a renewable resource collected from the Cassia tree, sold to benefit generations of hard working families. This beautifully carved cinnamon bark box contains 3 oz. of cinnamon and bears a common Asian character for prosperity.

World Vision takes donations and puts them where they're needed most, they use the money they get to do the best possible job with it. Your donation not only helps those who need it but it also can net you a little something as well. An $85.00 donation will net you 3 ounces of Prosperity Cinnamon in a beautifully carved cinnamon bark box.

My husband the noted cinnamon connoisseur loves sweet Vietnamese cinnamon, he had a little left that he's been holding onto like it's gold so when three more ounces showed up it was like he hit the cinnamon lottery.  If cinnamon isn't your thing you can also get many hand crafted items like bracelets, headbands, Christmas ornaments, a hand woven purse et cetera.

If you'd like to specifically donate money for a certain thing like a wheelchair or toys or school supplies or even chickens it's totally up to you. No matter how bad we think we might have it here there are people in parts of this world who would much rather be in our position than theirs. If you are in a position to help and want to pay it forward to someone who needs help World Vision is there to help you pay it forward. Do a good thing for someone who needs something to be thankful for.

It’s that time of year when spreading cheer is important and I just found out about a charitable cause that is really great. World Vision is a website that helps children and families worldwide.  It’s great to donate money, it’s even better to donate money and get a little something unique back for your contribution. So when shopping for your holiday gifts this year make sure to check out World Vision, they have gifts for everyone on your holiday list this year.
The generous folks at World Vision are giving one of Susan's Disney Family readers a chance to win Prosperity Cinnamon. Would you like to win? Wouldn't it feel great that this cinnamon you use to cook with or bale with is helping others survive this holiday season?
