Great family meals at Sonic Drive-in!

The year was 2005 and I wasn't into flying, from a few bad flights before I wasn't about to do it again at least for a while. The issue was my husband was turning 30 and wanted to celebrate his birthday in Disney World so we had to drive because I wasn't stepping foot on an airplane at that time. The best thing about the drive is that we were able to experience things along the way we don't have or didn't have yet here in Pennsylvania. One of those experiences was eating at a Sonic. I had always wanted to eat there but at that time the closest Sonic was in Virginia and that's not a quick drive for a bite to eat.
We ate at a Sonic in Georgia and I was hooked, but being hooked on something that's not readily available is a bad thing especially when you see their commercials being broadcast on TV. Thankfully now Sonic is in Pennsylvania and we're able to get our fix without having to take a road trip and this past Sunday we stopped by Sonic to try out their Waffle Cone Sundae and several other things.
Sonic isn't just fast food it's good food quick. It's much better than your typical burger joint and your options are so much more, we sat in the car looking at the menu for a solid ten minutes before we knew what we wanted just because the choices were plentiful.
I had the Sonic cheeseburger with jalapeno's, my husband and daughter shared a 24 piece boneless buffalo wing (half buffalo and half Asian), Ched 'R' Peppers, fries and of course a Waffle Cone Sundae to top it all off. This was a great meal, my burger was juicy and flavorful and the boneless buffalo wings were a smash hit with my husband and daughter they couldn't come to a conclusion about what flavor was better so both won.
The Ched 'R' Peppers were a fantastic choice we love jalapeno poppers and really love when they're stuffed with cheddar cheese instead of cream cheese and these peppers didn't disappoint! And we washed this all down with a couple of Ocean Waters and a Blue Raspberry Nerd Slush.
The drink menu is AMAZING and the options are seriously limitless and I think this is where most of our time went with figuring out what we wanted. Ocean Water is a blue drink with a nice pop of coconut (and tastes nothing like actual ocean water!) and the Blue Raspberry Nerd Slush is pretty much what the name implies and tastes incredible, if you're a fan of Nerds candy this is a drink for you.
But the topper of it all was the Waffle Cone Sundae. I went with the Reese's & Chocolate and it was delicious. It's vanilla soft serve ice cream with Reese's topping, chocolate sauce and a cherry. And it didn't last long. If Reese's isn't your thing Sonic also offers M&M with Strawberry and Snicker's Bar & Caramel. If you're out and looking for a bite to eat and happen upon a Sonic stop in and eat there, the food comes out quickly, it is delicious and it's very reasonably priced. You'll leave full and still have money in your pocket.

So if you are looking for a delicious meal and a cool treat be sure to check out your local Sonic!

You are not going to believe this but I have never ever been to a sonic in my life, the commercials always make it look so good though.

We finally just got a Sonic in our area. So like you we had to drive 6 hours to go to the closest Sonic. The boneless buffalo wings look great! I want to try those next time. I don't have a favorite meal yet because we have only gone a few times.
