Holiday Gift Guide: With The Chef Shelf you can get the best of the best gourmet food from all over the US.

Are you looking for a great gift idea? How about a fresh baked cake, or cookies? Some amazing BBQ or food gift sets? Well you are going to love The Chef Shelf, an online gourmet food retailer, who sells the best of the best gourmet food from all over the US. Here is a little more information about The Chef Shelf from the website:
The Chef Shelf is an online gourmet food retailer with a twist. Unlike our competitors, we don’t produce our goods; leading chefs and restaurants from around the country do, which means you’re guaranteed quality you can trust. Whether you’re buying from a favorite chef, or trying something new, we know you’ll love our products.

In 2013 we started as an idea: people should be able to enjoy better food at home, and it shouldn’t be so hard for chefs to sell award winning food.  Wondering how it works? The Chef Shelf meets with chefs and restaurants to help them understand the packaged food market, and tailor their recipes for home consumption. We then seek out manufacturing and fill our warehouse with delicious goodies. Our products are all real recipes that have been featured in restaurants nationwide, and we built a distribution channel to get them to you. Simply choose a product, put in some details, and we’ll ship it right to you. It’s that easy.

There are so many amazing food gift ideas, here are a few of my favorites:

I was very fortunate to be able to check out a Crumbzz Caramel Sea Salt Crumb Cake , a spectacular crumb cake unlike any you have ever tried before:

The delicate floral notes of the hand-harvested Fleur de Sel Sea Salt draw out the rich, buttery tones of our delicious home-made caramel. This wonderful combination is surprisingly addictive, so make sure you have a few friends over to assure you don't eat them all yourself. The full size Crumbzz cake is 10 inches and is great for parties, gifts, or just for yourself.
The holidays are coming up quick, are you ready? I know I still have so much shopping to do I know I have to get to it, I don’t want to be rushing at the last minute.  But what to buy this year? After being with my husband for 20 years, I have pretty much gotten his family all of the gifts I could think of. From robes, to jewelry and just about everything in-between. I came across a great gift idea, that will make gift giving much easier this year… Gourmet food gifts… Because, who does not love great food? The Chef Shelf has a variety of great items from the best restaurants and companies, that would make great gifts.

Have you ever wanted to bring a delicious dessert to a holiday party, without having to make the mess of making it? With The Chef Shelf you can shop at home in your PJ’s pick out a delicious treat for, your Christmas celebration at your home, or a friend’s home, then bring this wonderful cake or pie, that will amaze the guests and they will wonder where you got this divine goodness.  I was very fortunate to share a great gourmet item from The Chef Shelf with my family the, Crumbzz Caramel Sea Salt Crumb Cake. The cake arrived quickly, and it was wrapped very well. The cake was boxed and wrapped with a wax seal and ribbon, ready for gift giving.
The cake, had a nice weight to it, it was heavy for a cake, it was solid.  As soon as you lift the lid of the box the cake came in, the smell hits you… The smell brought me back to being a child and baking crumb cakes with my great grandmother… (It is amazing what smells can do sometimes). The smell was delightful, it smelled like cinnamon, and sugar a smell that just makes you want to dive in and enjoy.

I invited some family members over for a small get together, and we tried out this decadent treat. This cake did not disappoint. With the ribbons of sated caramel, to the abundance of crumble this was one of the best crumb cakes I have ever had in my life. Yes it was that good.  This cake can be bought and stored for up to 2 weeks, while still wrapped. But I am sure this will not last more than a few days. Bobby, just adored this, and had at least two slices (though.. I think it may have been more) he loved the mixture of the salt and the sweet.

The Crumbzz cakes come in the varieties, Caramel Sea Salt Crumb Cake, Chocolat de la Terre Crumb Cake, Blenheim Apricot Crumb Cake, Ruby Red Raspberry Crumb Cake and Old World Cinnamon Streusel Crumb Cake. The Crumbzz Caramel Sea Salt Crumb Cake retails for $43.00 for a full sized cake, or $23.00 for a minizz trio (three nice servings) .

I am sure my Uncle Rich would love Snow's JalapeƱo Sausage, he loves things spicy. My cousin, Val would adore some Buon Giorno Italian Espresso.  I just may have to pick up another Crumbzz cake for my family for the holidays. I am sure they would love to try one of the other mouthwatering flavors.

If you are looking for a unique gift idea for the hard to shop for folks on your holiday gift list, I would recommend checking out The Chef Shelf. From mom to dad, aunts, uncles, friends, teachers they would all love a gourmet food gift. With the wonderful selection of sweet treat to savory delights, you will be sure to find the perfect gift for that special someone on your holiday gift list. Not sure of what to buy?
