Fun Peanuts themed Valentine’s Day party with Snoopy and his sister Belle ‪#‎SnoopyValentine‬ ‪#‎ThePeanutsMovie‬ ‪#‎Belle‬ #giveaway

Are you excited? Valentine’s Day is almost here! What are we doing to celebrate well we are having a fun Peanuts themed Valentine’s Day party with Snoopy and his sister Belle! Before our party Peanuts had their own party to celebrate, here is a little more information about this fun event:

Her Valentine’s Cards Are on the Table: Francesca puts her heart into her Peanuts Galerie Valentine’s cards, which are included in my giveaway along with extra foam hearts and jewels to enhance your card.

On Saturday, January 31, the Little Red-Haired Girl herself—aka Francesca Capaldi, the 10-year-old actress who plays the character  in the upcoming Peanuts feature film—co-hosted a Peanuts-themed Valentine’s party with Snoopy and his sister Belle at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Carlsbad. Capaldi, known to TV viewers as Chloe James on Disney’s Dog With a Blog, hosted dozens of her friends, including Skai Jackson (Jessie), Merit Leighton (A Tiger’s Tale), Marlow Peyton (Candybar), and Aubrey Miller (Spare Parts).

Sweets for a Sweetie: 10-year-old actress Francesca Capaldi was sweet on the beautiful Snoopy and Belle Valentine’s cakes at her pre-Valentine’s party. You can make this same cake using the Park Hyatt’s recipe, and if you win my giveaway, one of the delicious DecoPac Snoopy or Belle toppings will be included!

You Take the Cake: Francesca and Skai Jackson from Disney’s Jessie had a sweet time decorating cupcakes. Now you can create your own "cupcake couture," following the recipe from the Park Hyatt and using the DecoPac decorations in my giveaway.

Guests tried on the latest Snoopy and his Sister Belle fashions from Target, danced to DJ-provided tunes, and decorated cupcakes with DecoPac decorations. Of course, they also enjoyed watching the classic Peanuts special, Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown, set to air on ABC alongside A Charlie Brown Valentine on February 13th at  8pmEST/7pmCT.
To get everyone even more excited we had a little family get together and I made an amazing chocolate cake to celebrate. This was not just any chocolate cake, this was a recipe from Park Hyatt’s own Pastry Chef, Frank Riffaud. A homemade chocolate cake, now this is going to be amazing. I consider myself a pretty good baker, but I have never made a cake from scratch before.

Chocolate Cake  from Park Hyatt’s own Pastry Chef, Frank Riffaud
Flour 3 Cups
Sugar 3 Cups
Salt 1 Tbsp
Baking Soda 1 Tbsp & 1 Tsp
Water (Boiling) ½ Cups
Cocoa Powder ½ Cup
Buttermilk ½ cups
Vegetable Oil 1 Cup
Eggs 3
Vanilla 1 Tbsp

Combine the buttermilk, oil, eggs and vanilla together with a whisk. Place the flour, sugar, salt, and soda together in a mixing bowl. Using the whip attachment on an electric mixer, add the liquid ingredients that were previously whisked, mix only until smooth. Boil the water and add it to the cocoa powder and whisk until smooth. Add the cocoa mixture to the previous batter. Let the batter sit 10 minutes before filling pans. Fill 2-8" cake pans that have been greased and floured. Fill pans half full. Bake in oven at 350o for approximately 45 minutes. A knife inserted in the center will come out clean. Cool cakes before using.

The cake was decadent a rich, my family just loved it! I know I will be making this cake again and again. Doesn’t it look amazing? The cute decorations are just the icing on the cake (pun intended ha ha ) making this the best cake ever!
On November 6th, 2015, Capaldi co-stars as the voice of The Little Red-Haired Girl in The Peanuts Movie, as Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved “Peanuts” gang make their big-screen debut, like they’ve never been seen before, in state of the art 3D animation.  Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle – and flying ace – embarks upon his greatest mission as he takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis The Red Baron, while his best pal, Charlie Brown, begins his own epic quest.  From the imagination of Charles M. Schulz and the creators of the ICE AGE films, THE PEANUTS MOVIE will prove that every underdog has his day.
