#SeetheLite and get the best quality value and freshness you can buy with Litehouse #ad

***This post was sponsored by Litehouse Foods. I received dinner & a gift bag in exchange for writing this review. All opinions are 100% my own.***

Recently I was very fortunate to be able to have a night out and a delicious dinner at ELA on 3rd St in Philadelphia thanks to Litehouse Foods. It was great to get together with Philadelphia area bloggers and influences.
We met up at a new restaurant called ELA, which is located in the Philadelphia Queen Village neighborhood. This is a restaurant I have been looking forward to trying but never had the chance to, I was excited to be able to enjoy ELA.
We were able to find out some great food tips from a local dietitian with live cooking demos and recipes using Litehouse products. For those who are not familiar with Litehouse, this is a company that believes in the fresh is best motto, and offers a wide variety of salad dressing flavors along with caramel, fruit dips, veggie dips, and much more! Litehouse is a 100% family owned company, that really cares about the food that they make.
From our family to yours, the Hawkins family started selling their homemade dressings out of the family's restaurant in Hope, Idaho over 50 years ago. In 2006, the family sold the company to its employees. Every person at Litehouse has the same passion and commitment to bring your family the very best products available.
From a small restaurant to a leading producer and marketer of refrigerated salad dressings, cheeses, dips, sauces, apple cider, and freeze dried herbs, Litehouse is a leader in the food industry with innovation and great consumer products, keeping a strong commitment to the employees and communities in which they operate”.
When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted with adorable name plates, that were in fruits and vegetables. Now I can say I have seen the coolest way to decorate a table. I just loved my cute orange.

Dr Janet Brill a nutrition and fitness expert, was on hand to share with us a great healthy recipe using Litehouse dressing. Janet has written three books about heart heath and she was enthusiastic and ready to share a healthy recipe with us. How can you lighten your 4th of July BBQ?
Well you can serve a light and tasty, roasted kale chips and quinoa salad. This easy to make recipe will have the kids eating their veggies and loving it. I can’t wait to make this healthy recipe for my family. I am especially looking forward to making kale chips… I have heard that they are delicious, and I will have to make these crunchy treats for myself.
Another great tip to get your kids to eat their vegetables is, make them dippable. Kids love to dip their food. I have to say this is a great tip, my daughter cannot get enough of broccoli and I am sure this is because she loves Litehouse ranch dressing. I only give her a small amount of dressing to dip, the dressing is thick and rich and goes a long way. After the demonstration, we had our blogger introductions then it was time to eat! What did we get to enjoy? Here is what I choose from the menu:

Green kale salad with cherry tomatoes, celery, fried chicken crunchies, featuring Litehouse chunky bleu cheese dressing.

Did you know that Litehouse Foods even makes the cheese that goes into every one of the dressings and dips?
Hand pulled spaghetti with caramelized pecorino, egg yolk, lemon chili condiment.
Beef short rib, morel mushrooms, fava beans spring onion mustard.
Cookie dough vanilla-bay ice cream, cookie crackers.

Oh my what an amazing meal, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the company.  I was a fan of Litehouse Foods prior to this event, but now that I know all of these great tips and ideas to use with Litehouse food I am even more excited to use their wonderful products.
I hope that this post gets you to #seethelite (get it?), and be sure to pick up some great dressings, and dips from Litehouse when you visit your local supermarket. I am sure your family will love the Litehouse products as much as my family does.  I would like to send out a special thank you to Litehouse for hosting us bloggers to enjoy a delicious meal at ELA it was an great night!

Because the Beef short rib, morel mushrooms, fava beans spring onion mustard looks so delicious, I can hardly wait to try to make this special recipe out. I only hope that I can replicate this without a recipe.
