In today’s day and age we’re all trying to go a little easier on the environment. It’s important to be responsible and leave this planet in better shape for future generations. I know my family is trying to be better, our electric provider lets us know each month how much power we used compared to our neighbors and I was appalled at how wasteful we are! Out of 100 neighbors we’re constantly in the 90’s and that’s costing us money and it’s costing the environment.
Our refrigerator and dryer and old and I know that they’re not the best when it comes to being energy efficient. But something I didn’t realize was our sound bar! With the television being on as much as it is I shouldn’t be surprised at that, but I am! We’re taking steps to get better appliances to help everything, from the environment to our wallets. If you’re looking to upgrade your dryer or like us…sound bar, Best Buy is where you’ll want to head to.

Best Buy has a whole host of ENERGY STAR® certified appliances for you to choose from. Click on this video Link to learn tips to save energy: https://corporate.bestbuy.com/?p=11776
Did you know that in 2015 Best Buy customers purchased enough ENERGY STAR® certified products to save over 67 million dollars in annual energy costs?! That savings is enough to help power 70,538 houses for a year! Also in 2015 Best buy customers purchased enough ENERGY STAR® certified audio equipment and sound bars to collectively help prevent the greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing 2,013 cars from the road for an entire year! It’s amazing how much we can save the Earth by just being a little more conscientious.

I didn’t realize that sound bars wasted as much energy as they do, newer ENERGY STAR® certified sound bars are 50% more efficient than older models, combine that with an Energy Star certified television and watch that number go up! ENERGY STAR® dryers use 20% less energy than conventional models without sacrificing features of performance. Dryers can detect when your clothes are dry and will shut themselves off when appropriate, why finish the cycle if it’s not needed? Hate ironing?
Some ENERGY STAR® dryers have a steam cycle that will help prevent wrinkles, it won’t totally eliminate ironing but it’ll sure help. More than 80% of American homes have dryers in them, if all of those dryers were ENERGY STAR® certified we’d all save a combined 1.5 billion dollars each year in energy costs and would prevent greenhouse gas emission equivalent to more than 2 million vehicles. That’s staggering… Let’s all do our part and look for appliances with the ENERGY STAR® certified label. You’ll be doing your part to not only help the environment but also your wallet.

Wow! That's a lot of money saved! My hubby and I love Best Buy but we usually go in for electronics only. We'll have to check out the appliances next time we go.

We have a small sound bar in the kitchen that sounds terrific. EnergyStar is great, it saves energy and money.

Thank you so much for the heads up on this. I already look for the energy star rating on appliances, but I've never thought about things like speakers.
