Join us for a No Strings party to celebrate, Disney’s timeless tale Pinocchio Arriving on Blu-ray™ Jan. 31 and on Digital HD Now! #PinocchioNoStrings

***Thanks to Disney for giving me a free movie night kit to host an in-home viewing of Pinocchio. All opinions are my own***

Who here is a fan of the Disney classic movie Pinocchio? Disney’s timeless tale Pinocchio, considered one of the greatest animated films ever made with two Academy Awards, joins the Walt Disney Signature Collection. This  classic 1940’s hit movie is out Tuesday, Jan. 31, on Blu-ray and Disney Movies Anywhere NOW! To celebrate the release of the beloved classic my family and some friends held a Pinocchio No Strings Attached viewing party this past weekend. It was filled with food family and fun!
“Pinocchio” tells the tale of wood-carver Geppetto's beloved puppet who embarks on a thrilling quest – with faithful friend Jiminy Cricket – that tests his bravery, loyalty and honesty, all virtues he must learn to fulfill his heart’s desire: to become a real boy.  This is considered one of the greatest animated films ever made, with two Academy Awards® -- for best original score and best original song "When You Wish Upon a Star" – and a rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Time to pop the popcorn and take some time for family time. Before the party started we handed out some great Pinocchio goodies, including some lunch kits (that we filled with candy and other movie needs like popcorn) and some water bottles.

Alright, is time for the movie! But we did not watch the movie on our big screen tv, not this time. We opted for a more intimate closer viewing on out tablet. Now we were free to relax on the couch, or the bed or just about anywhere we wanted as we toted our tablet around loaded with the movie. This is a great way to introduce the classic movie Pinocchio to a new generation. Each Blu-Ray copy has a card inside with instructions on how to unlock the Digital version of the film. Unloading and having this on any portable devise is as easy as pie!
Just enter the code and follow the simple directions and off you go to enjoy the film on the road with no wires attached.  Now it will delight a whole new generation of dreamers with its masterful animation, unforgettable characters and award-winning music. The movie which inspired the world to wish upon a star, arrives for the first time on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere on Jan. 10,and on Blu-ray™ and DVD on Jan. 31 with hours of new and classic bonus features.

What can be said about the movie that has not already been said, this will make you laugh and cry just a great film one of the best. One of my most favorite songs of all time is in the film the song “When You Wish Upon a Star” this song really makes you want to dream and make your dreams come true. And thanks to Disney we have our very own star! It is amazing to know that there, there is our very own family star, when we wish upon a star we can wish upon the very one that is named after us, and that is really cool.
I love sharing classic movies like this with the family, because it reminds me of when my grandparents first shared this movie with me. Back in those olden days (well they sure seem like ancient times now) I had the large white clamshell VHS that my grandparents bought for me, we loved to watch the film again and again when I visited. My grandfather would tell me my nose would grow like Pinocchio’s if I ever told a lie, and I surely believed him! And when my daughter was little, and I shared the movie with her I also found myself saying if you tell a lie your nose is going to grow.
It is funny the things you pick up from family members, and movies that just stick with you. But there are so many more important lessons than just not lying to be found in Pinocchio, the lessons learned are life lessons we all may go through at one time or another. I want to make sure my daughter knows of all that may happen in life. My daughter is everything to me. She is the light of my life and all I do is for her. I want her to learn that you may stumble and lose yourself in life, life may be tough but you can get through it and I will always love you and be there for you whatever may happen.

Do you have any memories of scenes or songs from Pinocchio that were special to you and your family? I am sure there are many, this is one of Walt Disney’s masterpieces. Sure it is great that Pinocchio now is available on Digital, but what else can you expect on the Blu-Ray.
