Come and join in on a Zak Designs Holiday Movie Night with Yummy chewy Hot Chocolate Cookies #Recipe

Can you believe it is November already? Time is just flying by! I know as soon as 11/1 hit, it was time for the holidays in our home we are ready for Christmas songs and fun family parties and lots of great events. The holiday season is my favorite time of year, it just brings me so much joy and happiness, giving and sharing. With the help of Zak Designs I was able to hold a fun Zak Holiday Movie Night! Out of all the holiday movies out there what movie did we choose to enjoy of this special movie night? Well one of our most favorite of course!

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation! What is a movie night without cuddling up with some hot coco, and some yummy snacks? We decided to make some sweet cookies to snack on while we enjoyed the movie. I made a family favorite, and would love to share the recipe with you all, for Hot Chocolate cookies.

Yummy chewy Hot Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients
2 cups butter softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ cup cocoa powder
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup mini marshmallows
½ cup tiny marshmallows (the freeze dried kind)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix the wet ingredients, then the dry. Mix in chips and classic mini marshmallows (set aside freeze dried marshmallows). Roll cookies into small balls no larger than a quarter, and place of cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for about 10 minutes. As soon as the cookies are out of the oven sprinkle with freeze dried marshmallows. Let cool before enjoying.

Of course we all had to enjoy our hot chocolate out of the fun Zak Designs holiday mugs. Zak Designs has an amazing selection of holiday mugs that would make a great gift for that special someone on your holiday gift list. From the classics to modern day classics.

There are so many great mugs on the site, our favorites being the Christmas Story Movie Coffee Mug - Leg Lamp, this scene made the movie! Fragile! It’s Italian… Adorable mugs like the Elf Coffee Mug – Buddy, to the Bumbles Coffee Mug - Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer mug!
My daughter quickly claimed the Elf coffee mug, for her hot chocolate, which she used to dip her hot chocolate cookies, now that is a treat! The mugs retail for $12.99. Not a bad price at all you could pick up a bunch and fill them with cookies or sweets, this would make a great holiday gift for just about anyone! We had such a fun time watching the film, and just hanging together as a family.
I had a blast it was great just to hang out in my National Lampoons Christmas Vacation PJ’s (recognize these from the film?) and sipping some hot coco from the cool National Lampoon Coffee Mug - Jelly of the Month Club mug.
It is the gift the keeps on giving the whole year through! Why not plan your own holiday movie night with some great mugs from Zak Designs. Do you have a favorite holiday movie, be sure to check out the site https://www.zak.com/ and take a look around you just may find something that is a must have!
