Holiday Gift Guide: The Gourmet Cupboard Review (And a Giveaway)

We recently had my daughter’s seventh birthday party and one of the things we served at her party was a few dips from the Gourmet Cupboard.

The dips were, Mexican Fiesta Dip Mix , Chocolate Chip Cheesecake dip;( it was as decadent as it sounds). And a Hawaiian cheese ball dip.
I gave my hubby the honor of making the Chocolate Chip Cheesecake dip, the dip was easy to make, one package of cream cheese, 6 table spoons of butter, a splash of vanilla and the mix. It was that simple. It took all of maybe five minutes to mix and it was the absolute bust out hit of the party. The best way I can describe it is it’s like a really good cannoli cream, I’ve eaten my fair share of cannoli’s living here in South Philly and let me tell you any bakery around here adds this cream to their cannoli shells they’ll become world famous.

We had a bit of an argument about what would pair best with the dip, I suggested animal crackers and my husband kept saying cinnamon graham crackers, he came home with both and I have to admit he was right the graham crackers really were the best match for this dip, it was like having a personal little cheese cake because of the graham cracker being used as a crust. I don’t care what they peddle on QVC and what people say is good, the only thing that should be at the bottom of a cheese cake is a graham cracker crust not a sponge cake!

The  Mexican Fiesta Dip Mix , and a Hawaiian cheese ball dip, were big party hits as well, I served the Mexican dip with chips, and the Hawaiian cheese ball worked well  with crackers. They were all loved! And devoured!

The gourmet Cupboard has a multitude of simple to make dips, they’re quick and easy to make and when you serve them at a party people will think you’re a genius in the kitchen and should be given a show on the Food Network. Let them think you’re a great chef, your secret is safe with me!

And with the holidays right around the corner, dips are a great gift option!
