Vintage Couture Review (And a Giveaway)

Are you looking for classic, stylish clothing? Well I have a great place for you. Vintage Couture. Here is a little more information about Vintage Couture, and Jessica Wiswall, founder of Vintage Couture. (From the website)

Jessica Wiswall, I love all things old. Vintage that is. I have a passion for mixing the unexpected of days gone by with pieces of today. Vintage fabrics are my obsession. I love the feel of an old feedsack and the mix of colors that are so different than today. I love the texture of good chenille. I love the romance of a thrift store floral bed linen. I love the sweetness of a 1930′s ditsy floral print.

Vintage fabrics are so nostalgic and full of a history that makes them sort of mysterious. They bring back great childhood memories of going through dress-up clothes at my aunt’s house or different items from the kitchen I remember as a little girl. Vintage fabrics stir recollections of my mom sewing dresses for me into the wee hours of the night. That mystique, that romance, that nostalgia has fueled a lifelong obsession with vintage furniture, clothing, and fabric. This passion has translated into the fabrics of all the collections I design. Almost every fabric found in our girls lines is a custom fabric exclusively by Vintage Couture. You won’t find our fabrics anywhere else.

I was very fortunate (or should I say my daughter was fortunate) to be able to review:

Trista Sutter's My Fair Lady Dress

$62.00 - $68.00

Scrolls and roses are the perfect combination to complete this girly-girl collection.  Chocolate brown satin rosettes add a girly, soft touch to our exclusive cotton knit fabric. Colors include: baby blue, chocolate brown and pretty pink.

Soft cotton knit A-line bubble dress with chocolate brown satin detail and back tie. Features three-quarter length bubble sleeves and removable satin flower pin at the waist.

My Review:

My daughter loves to wear dresses, she doesn’t care if it’s dress weather or not her only concern is how well the dress twirls. And the dress she received from Vintage Couture  twirls well and they twirl equally as well on her doll that is because Vintage Couture sells not only dresses for girls but the sell matching dresses for their dolls. I know what it’s like having twins now! I’ll stick to just the one. Vintage Couture has clothes for boys as well as girls they don’t discriminate, if you want your child to stand out in a good way Vintage Couture has you covered.

I have to say it was the cutest thing to see her put on her dress then minutes later put the matching dress on her doll and the dress is pretty much an exact match of the larger dress, no corners are cut here, you really do get your money’s worth. Every bit of the dress is made with care, from the ribbons to the clip on flower. The dress is very well made, it is quality. (And so it the little doll dress, it is an exact match!)

I loved the dress as much as my daughter, it’s a really pretty dress that looks fantastic, I really love the color combination and the satin flower is such a nice girly touch. So if you’re out and about in a blinding snow storm and you see a little girl playing in the snow in a dress you’ve found my daughter tell her to put her mittens back on would ya?

So if you are looking for a classic, vintage looking clothing for your child Vintage Couture is for you. Just because it is a “vintage” look, that does not mean it is not stylish and up to date. I just love the classic look of the clothes for boys and girls on the site.  So if you have a little girl or boy that would love a cute outfit please check out Vintage Coutoure. And don’t forget to get a dress for dolly too!
