Butt Bench Bath Seat – Review (And a Giveaway)

Now who here does not love a relaxing bath, and taking time to relax. I love baths, but I just do not have the time to take them. And the great folks at bath extras are giving me a great way to relax in the shower! A Butt Bench, here is a little more information about the Butt Bench from the website:

Bath Extras designed and manufactures the Butt Bench®, a patent-pending bath seat made of natural wood first created in 2006. We started giving out Butt Bench® to friends and family and they absolutely loved it. Some of them gave the bath seat to their aging parents and it helped them sit comfortably while bathing. We have a Butt Bench in every tub and use it to make shaving and footbaths easier, and to store our assortment of shampoos and soaps.

Because of the positive feedback we’ve gotten over the years, we decided to make the Butt Bench available to the public. It’s now available in a variety of colors and two different sizes. We’re also happy to bring our customers an assortment of bath safety products that require no installation. Our goal is to make bathing safer and easier for people of all ages.

My Review:

Just because I don’t have the time to take baths does not mean I do not miss the tranquility and peace I would have when I got a bath. I still bathe of course (ha ha) but showers are my main way of getting clean. They are just quicker and fit into the time I have better. But when I found out about the Butt Bench I was intrigued. Could I take a shower and still take time to sit a relax? Hmmm? I just could not wait for this to arrive, and to try this out.

When the bench arrived, it was packed very well and I was amazed at the quality of the Butt Bench, the bench I ordered was a cedar Butt Bench. . The 12″ bench has 4 horizontal slats of wood ,the 15″ has 5 horizontal slats of wood. So I decided on the 15” Cedar because, my husband loves the wood look, and thought it would look great in the bathroom. I have to agree the wood really makes the tub to a bit fancier, and it really fits in well with the bathroom.  If you are concerned about having wood planks in the shower, don’t be they are sealed with a water proof finish, so they are suitable for wet areas.

The bench is sturdy, but not overly heavy. The bench also comes with movable suction cups so you can make sure the bench is secure and fit it to your tub wall.

I “installed” the butt bench in a matter of seconds, it was so very easy. All I had to do was take it out of the box and move the suction cups to line them to where I wanted to stick them to the tub wall, and voila! I have a useable Butt Bench.  There was not drilling or anything like that, so that was great! I loved being able to relax and take some me time in the shower. I was able to shave my legs in peace, without my usual wobbling uneasy shave I use to have while in the shower. You know what I mean, trying to shave while standing up is difficult, and it often leads to razor cuts, and missing some areas! Ouch! But with the Butt Bench I was able to just sit and relax, shave and take my time.  And yes I was able to shave without any nicks, while I relaxed on the bench.

This bench would also be great to travel with! Our family gets together each year to spend a week together at the Jersey Shore. This will travel nicely and will make the shore house’s bathroom feel more like home!

I would recommend this bench for anyone who wants to relax while shaving your legs, this would make a great gift for an elderly friend or family member. The Butt Bench retails for $52.95 for Cedar and $45.95 for Pine, the pine comes in natural, pink and white.

To take the Butt Bench® out of the tub, just peel off the suction cup from its lift tab. Do not try and pull the entire Butt Bench® from the hold of the suction cup.
