A year ago this time if you were to ask me about Monster High I would have had a limited knowledge of what they are, speed ahead a year and I'm an authority on all things Monster High! My daughter is nuts about them, she's obsessed with them and it's gotten to the point that my husband when he goes on his weekly toy run he checks out the aisle that houses the Monster High doll's to make sure we don't miss a rare character.
If you're not familiar with Monster High it's a pretty simple idea, the kids of some of the most famous monsters in history attend high school together. Pretty simple and in my daughters words very cool.

This week we added another monster to the collection, we received the 13 Wishes version Frankie Stein, Frankie is the daughter of Frankenstein and while she's the daughter of Frankenstein complete with different colored eyes and gold stitches to keep her together she's much better looking than her dad! The 13 Wishes line of Monster High has a Casbah flair, the dolls in this line look like they're genies and all come with appropriate accessories like a bottle, because every good genie needs a bottle, they also come with a doll stand and hairbrush. The nice thing is that every line is different, you can have 3 Frankie's but each one of them is different so you're not just buying a repacked doll.

It's funny to think back a year ago and how we went from 0 Monster High doll's to more than 25 of them and their high school! I love them as much as my daughter, I kind of wish I had doll's this articulated when I was a kid. The Monster High doll's are so well articulated that you can pose them in virtually any pose you want and that's very cool. My daughter usually moves on from toy to toy quickly but she's totally fascinated with Monster High and I don't see her love affair ending anytime soon!
