Have you ever wanted to visit a TV show set? To see really how the set looking like in real life? For me this was one of my bucket list items.. This is just something I have always wanted to do, something that was cool… So when I found out that we were going to be able to sit in the audience while Melissa & Joey rehearsed… then we would be able to tour the set… yes, you could say I was just a bit excited!
I was amazed at how many people are on set while they rehearsed, from the director, producer, the actors and the many camera people the set was filled.  Everyone seemed so relaxed and just loved their jobs.

Joey Lawrence would serenade the cast with Christmas songs after each take, it was like a big family that loved being together. After checking out the rehearsal we were off to explore the set. Now this was amazing… You see shows on TV all the time, but who gets to see these places in person?
Well I got to do just this… We had pretty much free reign to check out any part of the set we would like it was cool…. I went from the living room to the kitchen (no dishes in the sink here.... unlike my house...) to the porch to the yard. What was the one thing I wanted to check out most on set… hmm?

The refrigerator!! Yes would the food be fake what exactly is in a set refrigerator? Well the food was real, and the fridge was running, that was surprising to me.
Did you ever notice this part of the living room on the left hand side? Each episode there is a new inspirational saying on this black board... Be sure to look for it.
I took some shots of myself on the set, checking out the yard, and going up stairs to the empty 2nd floor.  It is amazing how much goes into making a show like this, and after this experience I have a new respect for how hard each and every person works on set.
Melissa & Joey: A half-hour comedy that follows Mel, the grown-up former wild child of a political family, who is now a local politician herself. When her sister ends up in prison and her brother-in-law flees after a scandal hits, Mel must take responsibility for her niece and nephew. Help comes in the unlikely form of Joe, who moves in and becomes the family’s manny.

As fans of the show now know, Melissa and Joey are so much more than friends now. They are happily together as husband and wife, ready for all of the fun and exciting times a marriage will bring.  After touring the set we  were all able to interview the stars, Melissa Joan Hart, and Joey Lawrence. They were both amazing people in real life, very down to earth and just fun to be around.
I will be sharing the interview with these two stars soon so be sure to stay tuned. Up next will be our visit to the ABC Family hit show, Baby Daddy!

I've never seen the show, but sounds like a great family-oriented piece. I have always enjoyed sitcoms in general.

That must have been so much fun! You know, I realize that sets don't have ceilings, but I still find it so odd to actually see the set WITHOUT the ceiling.

How lucky are you?! That would be fun to be able to see that.
