A sneak peek behind the set of The Real O’Neals! All ready for the holidays! #ABCTVEvent #TheRealONeals

****Disney provided an all-expense paid trip for me to cover this great event ****

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well not quite yet, it is still October, but on the set of The Real O'Neals they are quite festive! On a recent press trip, I was very fortunate to be able to visit the set of The Real O'Neals and check out their home for myself.

First up was a tour of the set from David Windsor, creator and executive producer of the show, and two of the shows stars, Matt Shively who plays Jimmy, and Bebe Wood who plays Shannon, gave us a tour of the set. At the time of our visit the set was being transformed to film the upcoming Christmas episode of The Real O’Neals.
"The O’Neal family continues its journey of self-discovery and growth, resulting from Kenny coming out and his parents, Eileen and Pat, getting divorced. After finally coming out, Kenny will discover that life outside the closet isn’t that easy. Luckily for him, his older brother, Jimmy, will always be there to offer his often-misguided advice. And finally, there’s Shannon, the youngest O’Neal, whose unique views on life make her wise beyond her years.

ABC’s 'The Real O’Neals' stars Matt Shively as Jimmy, Bebe Wood as Shannon, Martha Plimpton as Eileen, Noah Galvin as Kenny and Jay R. Ferguson as Pat. (ABC/Bob D’Amico)

Eileen and Pat will continue to deal with starting their separate lives while still living under the same roof. Through it all, Aunt Jodi will be there offering her unusual brand of support, as the O’Neals continue to explore new relationships, friendships and acceptance of one another in the next, messier chapter of their lives”.
The set was decorated in its Christmas finest, from the large beautifully decorated tree, to the little touches of poinsettias all around, and even a manger scene set up on the coffee table, the O’Neals are ready for the holidays. You would think having the house decorated from top to bottom would be enough for one episode right?

Well the folks on the show take decorating very seriously and even decorate the outside set to show the snow, and give the outside a real winter feel. We got to see the bags and bags of “snow” and the rolls of “snow” as well. There was quite a lot of snow around the back and front yards of the O’Neal household.
Ever wonder what the sets of your favorite TV shows are like? Well this is something I always think of when I watch TV shows, yes this is odd I know, but I always wonder how much of this is real and what is on a set, and what this really looks like in person?

The Real O’Neal’s set was just as neat and tidy as it looks like on TV. A home I would proudly call my own. If only I had the time to have an amazingly neat and clutter free home like this...is something on my wish list! The kitchen was lovely, and the dining room seemed like it was ready for a grand family get together.

I loved the personal touches, like the photos that seemed to be all around. Just like they are in my home. Why not celebrate and fill your home with memories? That is what I love to do.

David Windsor, creator and executive producer of the show let us know that there are about 125 people work that work on the set of The Real O’Neals and it takes 5 days for them to film and four days for them to set up. A lot of work goes into each episode, for the actors, writers, directors and the people behind the scenes.  I knew it took a lot, but 125 people...that is pretty impressive.

One of the coolest parts for me on the set was visiting the “tiny house” built in the garage. My husband and I are really into the tiny house movement, we watch a few tiny house shows and really like the idea but actually being able to move into a tiny house, hmmm...I don’t think that is possible right now, maybe for our retirement house?
But for now it was just fun to check out a tiny house (How will the tiny house be used in the show? Well in you will have to check out more of season 2 of The Real O'Neals) in person.
Just a reminder there are only two more months until Christmas! I have so much more to do! Before we all stress out, let’s take some time tonight to have some good laughs, with The Real O'Neals and the entire ABC Tuesday night line up!

.****Disney provided an all-expense paid trip for me to cover this great event ****

I know you all have to be excited for the season 6 premiere of Once Upon a Time. I know I am, and so is my mother and my niece. This generationally loved show is a must watch for fairy tale fans. My mother loves this show so much, I know not to call when it is on, because she will just rush me off the phone because "her show is on!" She has to watch it right when it airs, and can not miss a minute. I am sure she is not the only one, Once Upon a Time fans are devoted, and loyal, and can't wait for the "The Savior" season six premiere, which is tonight Sunday, September 25 at 8:00/9:00 p.m. EDT.

You will not be disappointed. Sorry to be a bit vague about what I saw, if I tell you more it will be a spoiler, you will just have to be sure to watch the Once Upon a Time premiere episode that airs tonight. But, I have included some exclusive images from this episode throughout this post, to give you a little bit of a peek!

While in LA we got a chance to chat with the co-creators and executive producers of Once Upon a Time, Edward Kitsis  & Adam Horowitz. These guys came up with the idea for this show in 2002 in Edward's apartment and they are still just as passionate about this show now as they were in the very beginning.

What can we expect for season six? According to Edward Kitsis: "There’s a lot of romance you’re going to see, the first few episodes have a lot of that romance in them". Adam Horowitz says "this season they will be exploring the Land of Untold Stories... We are exploring a Savior mythology this season."

What are the other characters we can expect to see this season? The guys shared the astounding list of characters, including: The Count of Monte Cristo, Captain Nemo, Cinderella, Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar, The Evil Stepsisters, and The Wicked Stepmother. There will also be more of Jiminy, Elroy, and the Dwarves. Wow! What an amazing character line up, we have so much to look forward to.  I am especially looking forward to seeing Captain Nemo, now that is going to be a great story line, I have always been a huge 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea fan. There is just something about a diving adventure that pulls me in!

How much does the role of social media play in the show? The guys agreed that if they would listen to everyone, Robin would be alive, and dead. Regina would be with Daniel. The Huntsman would be alive and dead. Edward Kitsis, stated “You have to stay true to it and sometimes you really fail, and sometimes you really succeed, but at the end of the day and the show is over, I think the two of us want to look back and say, we did what we wanted" "We love the fans and we love their thoughts" He also said..."We love the community, we love the positivity”.

Adam Horowitz said “We love to hear from the fans. By the time you’re watching the premiere we’re already talking about the back half of the season..." he went on to say "What's great about it, is getting the sense of the fans and what they like, what they respond to, and what they’re invested in, and that’s really gratifying for us to see that passion." When the guys see the fans get upset, they know there is so much more that can happen with the character they want to say... "Be Patient!!" As a fan I can understand, sometimes when something happens to a favorite character it is hard to wait and be patient, but the love for the characters, this is what I my opinion makes the show so great.

How many more seasons do you think there will be for Once Upon a Time? According to Adam Horowitz, “there is no end date, but we have an end plan, we know how we would like to end the show when the time comes”. Edward Kitsis, joked and said "SPOILER!!!! "I’m thinking they all die.  The greatest twist we could do is a show about hope becomes the bleakest show ever."  These guys are such kidders. Of course they are all not going to die, but hey you never know how they will end the show one day?? Be sure to stay tuned tonight for Once Upon a Time, "The Savior"  season six premiere, tonight Sunday September 25 8:00/9:00 p.m. EDT.

Exclusive interviews with the stars of the ABC Family hit, Melissa & Joey, Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence #ABCFamilyevent

I have been a fan of these two actors for many  years, I grew up watching Blossom, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch... These were some of my favorite shows as a teen... Now I would be able to meet and interview those starts I loved... Whoa! (ok, ok I had to do that.... my inner Joey Russo had to come out for a minute)  And no sadly I did not ask Joey to say Whoa... I wanted to keep professional, but the teen inside of me kind of wanted to. To find out these celebrities are just working parents like me, really made me comfortable and relaxed and excited to ask them so many questions... Luckily for us after touring the set, we were able to do just this. First up was the handsome Joey Lawrence, Here are some of my favorite questions from our interview with Joey Lawrence:

A set visit to the fun ABC Family show Baby Daddy Exclusive pictures! #ABCfamilyevent

24 awesome bloggers and I recently got to visit the set of the ABC Family hit show Baby Daddy and got to meet the stars of Baby Daddy, including, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Tahj Mowery, Derek Theler, Chelsea Kane, Melissa Peterman! We toured the set talked to the stars and even got to take some great selfies with all of the stars. Each were fun down to earth people, who loved what they do for a living.
Baby Daddy: follows Ben, a young man in his early 20s living the life of a bachelor in New York City with his buddy, Tucker, and his brother, Danny. Their lives are turned upside down when they come home one day to find a baby girl left on the doorstep by an ex-girlfriend of Ben's. After much deliberation, Ben decides to raise the baby with the help of his friends and his protective and sometimes over-bearing mother, Bonnie, and his close female friend, Riley.

I have to admit I was not that familiar with the show Baby Daddy… Before the event I started watching the episodes and I realized I was missing out! This show is hilarious… It reminds me of a cross between Friends and the movie classic Three Men and a Baby!
The hijinks are nonstop the show is so very funny. More than just a great show, a great premise with fun actors who work so well together. When all of the pieces are together you get a great show. A show my husband and I now love to watch.

Checking out the set was a fun adventure, the set was filled with so many things I have in my home! With my little girl we have a lot of these same toys, from the Rapunzel doll, to the Disney Infinity…

The set designers did a great job depicting a home with guys and a little girl.  It was great to explore the set and see the entrance ways to the bedrooms, and even the bathroom!
At the end of the hall where the dresser is… well that is just adjacent to the kraft services, where the stars and staff get their snacks.  We were able to go just about anywhere we would like on set! The set of the bar was being used and the actors were filing scenes there so that was the only part that was off limits.
Remember I mentioned selfies? Here are my favorite shots of the selfies being taken:

It was really neat to see them film, you just do not realize how many times a scene may have to be filmed over and over to make sure it is just right… Seeing the actors at work was great. Being on a "hot" set was an experience, when the bell went off... shh it was time to be silent... it was all so very Hollywood a great experience.

There was a special guest star for this episode, the handsome Eddie Cibrian! I remember watching him on The Young and the Restless! That was such a treat for us to be able to meet him on set that day.  Overall the seeing the set was amazing, something I will never forget.
Be sure to stay tuned for the interviews from the entire Baby Daddy cast, how is it working with each other? Are they all friends in real life? Be sure to stop back soon  or interview with Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Tahj Mowery, Derek Theler, Chelsea Kane, Melissa Peterman next week! Check out the great group shots below, we were all having an amazing time, as you can see...
