Have a Spooky Digital Halloween with Kobo!

Are you looking for a tablet, it seem  like just about everyone has one these days, I see them on the train, the subway and just about anywhere I travel.  Would you love to get one for yourself, but are you hesitant because of the high prices? Or are you looking for a tablet for your child, so they will not bother you for yours anymore?  Well I have some great news for you, there is such thing as an affordable tablet. Well I have a great suggestion for you all, a Kobo  tablet or e-reader. The tablets and e-readers come from small hand held to larger screens. Here is a little more information about Kobo readers from the website:

Founded in 2009 Kobo is owned by the Tokyo-based Rakuten, Japan's largest eCommerce operator. Headquartered in Toronto our over 300 employees are proud of Kobo's top-ranked eReading applications for the iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows and our own line of eReaders, including the award winning Kobo Touch and Kobo Vox.

Inspired by a "Read Freely" philosophy and a passion for innovation, Kobo is one of the world's fastest-growing eReading services. Read Freely stems from Kobo's belief that consumers should have the freedom to read any book, anytime, anyplace – and on any device. As a result, Kobo has attracted millions of readers from more than 170 countries and features one of the world's largest eReading catalogues with over 2.5 million eBook, newspaper and magazine titles.
This year, relish in all the traditional Halloween tricks and treats: Bobbing for apples, attend ghoulishly fun costume parties, and eat candy corn to your heart’s desire. But what about your digital Halloween experience? The Kobo Arc tablet provides an unparalleled reading experience as well as full access to the Google Play Store with access to more than 1-million apps and games. It also provides a unique way to celebrate the scariest holiday of the year. Halloween 2013 will be a scream with these new, modern (but still spooky!) Halloween activities, available on your Kobo Arc tablet:

Enjoy smooth and seamless movies, apps and games with a powerful 1.5 GHz dual core processor, stunning 7” HD screen and access to over 700,000 apps on Google Play™*.

Are you kids always pestering you to play with your tablets? Well my daughter is always asking my husband to play games on his. It is amazing how quickly kids take to tablets, I just the ease of using your fingers to navigate is just something kids love. My husband has a tablet that costs $$$ and he is too scared to let my daughter play with it. On the rare occasion that she does get to play with it, she must sit on the couch, keep it safe on her lap, and she must not walk around with it.

I know these are many precautions but that  tablet cost a small fortune and if it fell and cracked… ugh my husband would be very upset. When I found out that I had a chance to review an affordable tablet (I never knew such a thing existed before this…) I was so excited. Excited, because I knew my daughter would think this was the coolest thing in the entire world. And yes when the tablet arrived she thought it was the best thing ever.

I have to say I was impressed with the quality of the tablet, and so was my husband. He thought this would cost a couple of hundred dollars at least.. when I told him the cost for this tablet is only $139.99 he did not believe it! Yes it is true, an incredibly affordable quality tablet is here! The Kobo Arc tablet from the Kobo is a great tablet for you or your tween.

Kids seem to be more technology savvy than adults these days and my daughter has been doing so much with the tablet. This will be wonderful to travel with, great entertainment for the car and the airport, and the plane.  (note this is not made for a child, so it is not child safe… you still have to take care when using it. This is great because if it does break it the cost is  not high to replace). This is a great android device, that you can use with your WIFI and you can also get apps from the Google store. This is also equipped with a camera, calculator, and other essentials . The tablet supports video formats up to 1080p, Google Play, Google Play Video, Google Play Music, Gmail.  Download and stream your favorite movies in full HD on Kobo Arc’s 7” 215 ppi screen that displays in over 16 million colors. Just what you need in a tablet for much less $.

There are 3 styles of tablets available the:

Kobo Arc 16 GB for $139.99 (was: $199.99)***
Kobo Arc 32 GB for $169.99 (was: $249.99)***
Kobo Arc 64 GB for $199.99 (was: $299.99)***

So if you are looking for an affordable tablet for yourself or your child you will love the Kobo Arc from the Kobo is the way to go, the tablet is made well and it is easy to travel with. I would highly recommend this great tablet for adults and tweens who love technology. Sure there are lots of fun Halloween activities for the Kobo, but you know what is coming up fast… Christmas! Are you ready? Well, Kobo recently-announced lineup of Android tablets – Kobo Arc 7, Kobo Arc 7HD, Kobo Arc 10HD – will be available in time for the holidays. If you are looking for a great gift idea for that special someone one your holiday gift list this year, a Kobo tablet or e-reader would make a great gift.  Make sure to check them out!

I've heard good things about the kobo - I have a really basic e-reader that can only read books - would be fun to have photo decorating apps like yours. :)

OH my gosh, I so want to play with those Halloween photo apps. I honestly didn't realize a Kobo was so much more than an e-reader.
